About the INNOPAC List

The INNOPAC mailing list is an unmoderated forum open to anyone interested in discussing the automation of library services with INNOPAC/INNOVACQ/Millennium systems. Topics discussed by over 3,000 subscribers to INNOPAC focus on implementation issues, hardware platforms, telecommunications, system management, the online catalog and extending it, and library staff functions --- cataloging, circulation, acquisitions and serials control. Use of the list for a variety of purposes is encouraged including asking questions, conducting surveys, posting minutes, announcing news of local projects, exchanging opinions.

Messages submitted to the INNOPAC list are not verified for accuracy, and reflect only the opinions of the message authors. Authors of INNOPAC messages are solely responsible for content in their messages.

A STRIPMIME program is in place to strip off formatting and forward messages in plain text to all list members. Attachments will be stripped from any messages. Please do not send attachments to the list, as they will be lost.

Using the INNOPAC List

To post a message to all the list members, send email to innopac@innovativeusers.org.

You must subscribe to the list to post to the list. Non-subscribers wanting to post job announcements may send a message to the list manager (innopac-owner@innovativeusers.org) to be forwarded to the list.

You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscription Information

Subscribe to INNOPAC by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options.
