Here is the description of my poster:
WiFi Authentication Using the Patron API
A cost saving approach for authenticating patron WiFi connections
using free and open source software (FOSS). By using the Perl
programming language, a link can be made between Millennium and the
FreeRADIUS software package. This link allows libraries to implement
a variety of WiFi captive portal systems.
I can try and explain things a little more in-depth if there is interest.
Thanks,
Chris Wells

Chris,
I will be very interested in this. I look forward to your solution. Which WIFI solution are you using? We use SonicWall NES and SonicPoints for centralized management at this time.

Samantha

We use a custom solution we created in-house. It does query the
Millennium server using the Patron API. I will be doing a poster
session at IUG this year about it.

I wonder if any library is using their Millennium system to authenticate users for their wireless access. If so, does the wireless system query III using Patron API? What wireless solution do you use?
We are in the process of evaluating our wireless network integration and would appreciate your comments and wisdom.
