No suggestions here, but we have seen similar behavior.

Subject: [IUG] Weird Cat Date being inserted
Hi all-
One of the cataloging staff has approached me with a weird problem that I'm hoping someone here can help with; a Cat Date of 06-13-1932 is mysteriously appearing in the bib. records.
Here's what we know:
She uses character-based access into the system
She brings a record over from OCLC
She deletes the "today's date" from the Cat Date field She attaches an order record She saves the record
Looking at the record the next day, or even sometimes later the same day, she finds the date 06-13-7932 in the Cat Date field of the bib. record. It is always the same date, it happens on most (but not all) of the records she brings over and attaches order records to.
I have looked at her templates but do not see anything that might cause this.
Does anyone have any suggestions (beyond "just use Millennium")?
TIA
Ruth
