We now seem to be amongst those experiencing problems with Lexis-Nexis.
Sorry if this post is a bit long, but our
Situation is a bit complicated.
We're a multi-campus site. I'm on the Catonsville campus on the West
side of town, where the library server is located.
Lexis-Nexis seems to work fine from here. I tried it through TorBrowser
(which gave me a German IP address) and that worked as well.
The two campuses on the East side of town, plus SOME of our off-campus
users seem to be having some problems with it.
. . .
I think the problems depend on what you're trying to do, and they
seem to be more related to LexisNexis Academic's programming than
specifically to WAM, as I can produce blank screens in the product
with or without WAM involved, on every browser/version I've
tried. (So restarting your WebPAC processes is indeed useless.)
There's been a discussion about this on the LexisNexis Academic
mailing list, and LN support is aware of the issue and seeking
feedback from WAM sites. I sent a message to the list informing them
that it's not purely WAM-related nor is it related to a particular
version of any browser, but it's a moderated list and they haven't
seen fit to approve the posting...
