[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
On behalf the IUG 2012 Program Committee, , I would like to remind you that we are currently accepting Poster Session Proposals for the Annual Innovative Users Group 2012 Conference to be held in in Chicago, Illinois, April 15-18, 2012. The deadline to submit poster session proposals is today ,Friday, January 13, 2012.

To submit a poster session proposal, go to the Conference webpage:

http://innovativeusers.org/iug2012-presenter-information

When prompted, login with your own MyIUG login. If you don't already have a login, sign up one here: http://innovativeusers.org/sitemember-register-form (your library must be a current member).

Here are submission steps:
* Use the Add New Submission drop-down to select “Poster Submission”.
* Because you are logged in, your name and address should already be filled out in the Coordinators and Presenters section. Double check to make sure all the information is filled in correctly.
* You can use the Add Another Presenter button to add presenters. Once you start typing the name, the form will start searching in the database. You just have to select the name and it will fill in the information we have on file for that person.
* Enter the program title and description in the Title and Description section. If you don't see the fields, click on Titles and Descriptions to follow the prompts.
* Poster materials can be uploaded at a later date in the Poster Materials section.
* When you are finished, click on the Add Submission button.
* You will receive an email confirmation to confirm your submission.

A poster session is a great opportunity to share an idea in progress or show other IUG members how your library did something well. Poster sessions also give you an opportunity to talk to your fellow attendees about your project in a fun and informal atmosphere. We are interested in poster sessions on a variety of topics. If you need to prime the idea pump, take a look at the Suggested Topics Page
(http://www.innovativeusers.org/sugtopics) that has been compiled over the past few years. If you have an idea of your own and don't see it listed, please submit a proposal anyway.

Again, deadline for submitting Poster Session proposals is Friday, January 13, 2012. Please do not hesitate to contact me (hma at miami dot edu<mailto:hma at miami dot edu>) if you have any questions about the poster session proposal process. Also, remember that poster session presenters will receive a $50 discount on their conference registration fee!

We received many terrific program proposals and now look forward to receiving all of your great poster session proposals!
