Re: [IUG] Epson receipt printers and Windows 7

I believe we have made labels print to EVERY kind of printer. Here are a
few pointers:

1) Millennium (non-template) can be configured to print in TEXT mode or in
GRAPHICS mode.

2) Text mode gives you NO control over font, paper size, etc. These days
is generally appropriate only for dot matrix printers and some receipt
printers.

3) Graphics mode means it will use the Windows printer driver. You must
use the correct printer driver for the kind of printer you have.

4) When printing to a dedicated LABEL printer, such as a Zebra, you must
pay close attention to the size of the page (that is, the size of the
label) in the driver. Do this in the driver that is accessed from the
Control Panel (not from within any individual program).

5) If in doubt, set the printer driver for a SMALLER page size.

6) Test the driver/printer combination with Notepad, and get that to work,
before trying in Millennium.

7) Never install the driver that comes on a CD. It's probably out of date.
Get the latest one from the website.

That's all I can think of eary in the morning. Happy Thanksgiving to
everyone in the U.S.
