[IUG] Web Management Reports and Firefox 8 display issue

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
One of my colleagues noticed this issue late on Friday, and I've confirmed it this morning:

When we try to use the browser interface to Web Management Reports (/manage) in Firefox, individual reports only display as HTML code, rather than as a table. So the report is running, but it isn't displaying correctly. The menu frames to the left and above do display correctly. Our staff computers were updated to Firefox version 8.0 last week, and since the tables in individual reports display correctly in Internet Explorer, I can only deduce that Firefox 8 is to blame (I have not yet tried any other browsers).

In summary, Firefox 8 displays the HTML of the table for an individual report in plain text - it doesn't display the table itself. I tried messing with JavaScript settings and other display options in my browser, but this hasn't done anything to change the bad display. I also searched the IUG listserv archives and CS Direct known issues - it appears that no one else has reported this issue yet.

Does anyone else out there who has Firefox 8 installed see this strange display behavior with Web Management Reports? Does anyone have any ideas for solving the problem, other than the obvious solution of simply using another browser?
