Thank you very much.  I've looked at dozens of records and this does
appear to work correctly.
Any idea what function the "^" character is serving here?  I know that's
typically a "starts with" but we're using a 'matches' in that place and
the "^" is part of the search term...

Try this search:

Field tag 'y' (misc)   matches   ^092

You can't search for a MARC tag that is in a certain field group;
however, you can search for a fields in a field group that contain a
certain MARC tag.  Perhaps this will work for you.

Hi there,



I'm having trouble constructing a search for MARC 092 fields with the y
(misc) field tag.  Does anyone have a successful query for searching
fields with particular field tags?

Ultimately, we're probably going to delete these, so my backup is to
simply run a list of all items and use Global Update to delete just
those, but it would be nice to get a count beforehand.
