No. We experienced the same thing. We ended up buying new receipt printers that were compatible with Windows 7 and were USB.

My experience was similar to yours. I was told by Kevin at Bayscan (who
knows his stuff) that the Epson drivers for Windows 7 support only a USB
connection (and that doesn't count a USB-to-serial adapter).
For what it's worth, the later models of Epson TM88 print very fast.
