[IUG] Spine label print template drops year without new line

We are trying to create a print template for spine and pocket labels. We want the call number on the pocket label to go straight across without any line breaks in the call number. We want the whole call number on one line. However, it always drops the year to the second line of the label. We've removed all new line commands from the template, so I don't know what is causing the year to drop down. Can anyone help?
