Re: [IUG] Statement of Charges print template iReport - Null fields

Thanks Dan. We have reported it to Helpdesk. We found out that those fields that didn't work on the Statement of Charges, actually displayed data using the same .jrxml file in the Statement of Checked-out items with the same patron account.

So there most be something wrong with the settings in Millennium using print templates since those fields are shown as valid elements in the Reference Guide.

Can you sent your modified .jrxml file to us for testing?

We had what sounds like very similar issues when setting up templates for Bills to patrons back in May. Several fields would not display anything even when the patron record had data for those fields. (These were Bill_Item_Charge, Bill_Billing_Fee, and Bill_Processing_Fee.)

The III Help Desk did end up having to fix this, with a patch to our server. We also were provided with a new data field to use for Bill_Item_Charge, using Bill_Replacement_Charge instead. Essentially, there were problems with the default template, and their first troubleshooting step is to have you verify the lack of data in fields that are in the default template, rather than any later versions you've modified.

Subject: [IUG] Statement of Charges print template iReport - Null fields

Hello IUG list, I need your help!

I am trying to generate a Statement of Charges (Print Template) report using iReport 1.3.3 with the following data:

- Patron information (name, address, barcode). I am using iReport fields: $F{Patron_Name_C}, $F{Patron_Address_Line1_C}, $F{Patron_Barcode_C}
- Bill information (Inv#, Description, Amounts). I am using iReport fields: $F{Bill_Invoice}, $F{Bill_Desc}, $F{Bill_Amount_Due}, $F{Bill_Total_Patron_Fines_C}, etc.

For some unknown reasons, the following fields for item information and circulation information are showing "null" when the reports is run in Millennium - Notices.
- $F{Bill_Item_Date_Due}
- $F{Bill_Item_Checked_Out_Date}
- $F{Bill_Location}

I have checked CSDirect Print template wiki and Millennium Reference Manual and I haven't found any other fields to accomplish this.

- Is there any library out there that has successfully created a similar Report?
- Is there an updated Print Template .jrxml file I need to download?
- Do I have to modify those fields configuration in iReport?
- Do I have to call III-Helpdesk to fix those fields in my system?

Any suggestion, help, ideas, etc. will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Pedro Mosquera
