Re: [IUG] linked ecommerce (payflo link) - academic libraries?

Charis: We're not an academic library, but we are just testing Linked
e-Commerce with PayPAL and have discovered that we are the first to be
set-up with the ability to use PayPal to pay fines through the PayFlow
Link account! This is something new in the PayFlow link. We had to set
up a PayPAL merchant account in order to receive payments through
PayPAL.
We're very happy to have this "other" payment method (other than the
standard credit cards!!!).
I thought that this might give you some ammo also!
NOTE: We also really feel much more comfortable not to be hosting the
payment form!
Kind regards, Eeva

Hi- I'd like to hear which academic libraries are using the newer
linked
Ecommerce (via Payflo link)? I've trolled the archives but don't see
hardly any academic libraries who have posted about it. We're trying
to make a case for campus administration to sign the contract with
PayPal (not even remotely possible with the older version of Ecommerce)
and the more academic libraries we can show are already using it, the
better.
Thanks - your responses could help bring us into the modern age of
electronic fines payment, saving wear and tear on both our patrons and
our staff!
