You can re-trigger the printing dialog to come up by deleting the
print.properties and OutputTypeProperties.xml file in the millennium
directory. print.properties is the main one, OutputTypeProperties.xml
stores print template settings. That is where the per login printer
prefs are stored on each machine. We have had problems with that file
getting too full of old config settings in the past also, and creating
problems after Major version upgrades.
You could create a batch file with
"
del c:\millennium\print.properties
del c:\millennium\Outputtypeproperties.xml
"
and add it to the administrator desktop of your self check image to make
it really easy for those setting up the express lane machines.

With the Express Lane software just being Millennium (with a special logon), what we found is that the first time we log into a new Express Lane account, the printer settings would pop up just once on each PC. There was only a single chance to choose the receipt printer, and to check the "Send autocut" box in the Local Printer Settings box, Format tab. (Usually we do text narrow, lines to eject 10, and send autocut.)
Once that single instance was gone, there's no way to get it back, and you do have to contact Innovative to make these changes at that point, which they can do.
It's especially frustrating whenever tech support at a site new to Express Lane sets one of these up, as they inevitably miss that one opportunity to put in the settings. (We're a consortium.)

We have auto cut enabled for our system and it is working fine on all our
circ computers. However, we have new selfcheck machines and we have not been
able to get the auto cut feature to work. Does anyone know if I need to
request Innovative to enable the auto cut feature specifically for Express
Lane (Self check) logins?
Thank you so much for any help you can give me!
