I use Analog on those log files, after modifying the LOGFORMAT line in the analog configuration file
LOGFORMAT (%v %s %j %u [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j] "%j%w%r%wHTTP%j" %c %b "%f" "%B" %j)
That pretty much just tells analog to ignore the initial piece of information which III includes - the port number being connected to - and assigns the apropriate values to the other elements of each line in the log file.
