Jimmy states in his message: "Users skilled with Create Lists seem OK with running clever workaround reports to complete the job that Circa only covers part of." We are also disappointed with the product.
Would anyone who's come up with clever Create Lists workarounds be willing to share their strategies?

Natalie, Lori, Julie,
A few libraries in the Marmot consortium have started using Circa Wireless Inventory.
Users LIKE the real-time handling of status mismatches, but regret the fact you can't check in items found on shelf with a status of checked out unless we also buy Circa Wireless Assistant. (I thought the very cool "check it in now" button was a feature of Wireless Inventory, not a dead button that only becomes functional if you spend twice as much.)
Users DON'T LIKE the antique iPAQ device.
Users LIKE the fact that this small screen web app will run on any wireless device (a Palm in Grand County, a laptop at SD51, even a homegrown iPhone app at Mesa State).
Users DON'T LIKE the dysfunctional shelf list feature.
Users skilled with Create Lists seem OK with running clever workaround reports to complete the job that Circa only covers part of.
All in all it seems better than the old Inventory, but it's still no magic bullet.
