[IUG] Calculating fines

Hello-

I would like to come up with a total amount of money owed in fines at this 
point in time.  I have created a review file based on patrons with money 
owed greater than 0.00.

When I copy this information into Excel, it copies it in as a text.  I have 
been able to do some manipulating by using Find/Replace.  But that function 
doesn't work completely.  (When I ask it to take out the period, it takes 
out all the periods not just the one at the end.  So a $0.10 fine becomes a 
$10.00 fine.  Oops!)

Is there a quicker way to come up with a total amount of fines owed?  If 
not, I'm faced with changing the amounts in 4,489 cells manually.  I'd like 
to avoid that!
