Who you gonna fly with? Build your flock with a Birds of the Feather
session. Rooms available or you can migrate over to a local watering hole:
Just imagine ? we?ll have migrated to San Francisco in just 2 weeks, and one
of the great things about getting together with colleagues at a conference
is the chance to share ideas. Are you interested in meeting with other IUG
attendees to discuss a particular topic or similar interest? Consider a
?Birds of a Feather? session!
"Birds of a Feather" (or BoF) are informal sessions organized by conference
attendees interested in topics that may not be included in the conference
program or to further discuss something covered in a formal program. IUG
"Birds of a Feather" discussion/brainstorming sessions enable you to meet
other Innovative users with similar interests. The sky's the limit in terms
of possible Innovative-related topics. Sessions from past years included:
* RFID and automated sorting
* Oracle option
* Managing electronic journals
* Materials booking module
* Meetings of various regional Innovative Users Groups
* Serials (annual routines for clean-up, control, etc., excluding
Millennium)
* Sharing a server with other institutions
* Millennium circulation beta testers
* III users at medical libraries
* Consortia level digital library services
* Inventory ideas
* Regional groups -- business meetings
* Regional groups -- lunch, dinner
