I need to find bib records that don't contain a 599 field (locally added to give location details). For several years, I've used a saved search strategy that included "Bib record, MARC tag 599 = " leaving the box for Value A empty, so that the search command is to find bib records in which 599 field equals nothing (does not exist)
When I ran my search this week, it came up empty. But when I ran the search without this command (just asking for bibs cataloged in a certain time frame), I got over 300 records.
So I'm wondering why, all of a sudden, the search isn't working. Or if I lost an important part of my brain in the last 2 weeks (last time the search worked) and have forgotten how to do this kind of search!
Thanks for any help.
