That's not a note. That's the Item Status.  This is simply the default behavior for Course Reserves.
Click on one of the items in the list and you'll see the Location, Call number, and Status in 3 separate columns.  

It looks essentially the same way in our catalog:

Lafayette's catalog is formatted with the information on 3 separate lines in the Call# Box

under Call# column on Course_display page.
For example: on this page

we would like to add the Notes after Location in Call# column.
