Subject: [IUG] Error message "use -el flag to see messages"

Our cataloging staff sent me a complaint. When preprocessing a MARC file for loading into the catalog database, if there is an invalid record in the file we get the following:

821:inoff 1047525:leng 1128:outoff 1146112
822:inoff 1048653:leng 1534:outoff 1147392
823:inoff 1050187:leng 1003:outoff 1148928
824:inoff 1051190:leng 1169:outoff 1149952
825:inoff 1052359:leng 2098:outoff 1151232
NUMBER OF INPUT RECORDS - 826
NUMBER OF ERRORS - 2 ( use -el flag to see messages )
NUMBER OF INVALID RECORDS - 1
NUMBER OF OUTPUT RECORDS - 825

We are unable to find any documentation regarding the use -el flag message. They are hoping for some mechanism to identify the invalid records.

Do other sites see this message? Anyone have a clue what it means? Does Millennium provide anything to help identify invalid MARC records?

I appreciate any thoughts.
