System Librarians - another great job is open with the Army General
Library Program on Fort Sam Houston in beautiful San Antonio. The
position is a part time position guaranteeing 32 hours weekly. It
includes benefits such as annual leave, sick leave, health care and
retirement. The job is a part of a team that manages a large enterprise
integrated library system for Army MWR Libraries around the world. The
General Library Information System (GLIS) uses Innovative Interfaces's
Millennium software with 4 servers. The position oversees the data
migration from other ILS systems to GLIS. Applicants that have managed
the migrated data from one ILS to another will be highly considered.
This position will also be responsible for training staff to use GLIS
both online and onsite at libraries in the Continental United States,
Hawaii, Japan, and Korea.
