On R2007 it shows "x of items checked out" as a header at the top of the
list of items and when viewing the list of holds the link to view items
currently checked out has the number (i.e. "4 items currently checked
out". It's the same with holds, a header and the number in the link to
that screen.

Subject: [IUG] Items checked out when logged into the OPAC
We recently upgraded to 2009A, and I've had a couple of reports claiming
that the OPAC no longer shows how many items patrons have checked out
when they are logged in.
I've tested, and sure enough it doesn't say "You have X items checked
out," though it does list each item -- so the patron can see all titles
though they do have to count them to see how many there are.
My question, though, is this: Is this really a change from how the
system used to act? I've had other complaints from patrons since the
upgrade that turned out to be The Way It's Always Been, though they
swore up & down that things had changed. The manual is unclear on this,
but it seems internally consistent the way it works now. If you switch
over to show your holds, it tells you there how many items are checked
out, just as when you're viewing items checked out it tells you how many
holds you have.
Can anybody say authoritatively whether this is a change, either because
of your prodigious memory or because you're still on 2007 and can see it
for yourself?
Thank you!
