David,

Thank you for your reply and suggestion. It's comforting to know that I was not doing something wrong but that what I wanted to do cannot be done by Millennium. At least I have a few months in which to try to find out how to zero out the in-house use come year-end.

The problem with inhouse use is that it is not limited by date in the
item record. Circs are tracked by Total Circ, YTDCIRC, and LYRCIRC, but
there is no similar tracking for inhouse use. So, if you run a list of
items, you will see a forever number in inhouse use, unless you zero
this field out at the end of each fiscal year or some other period.

I suppose you could run a list of bibs with items that have internal
use, and then run it through the Title report in Web Management. This
report would give you usage by title, but again, not based on a
particular time period.

Subject: [IUG] Inhouse use titles

Hello,

Can some please explain to me how I create a list that will give me the
titles, call numbers, and locations for all items that had inhouse use
between a specific dates or during a given year such as 2009.

I am able to get the total inhouse use stats from Web Management
reports, but I need the titles and total number of uses per title as
well. I have spent a couple of hours trying to create a report in
create lists that will give that information, but every report that I
produce using Create Lists displays a number for total items scanned for
inhouse use during 2009 that is nowhere near the total produced by the
Web Management system and I'm talking off by several hundred.

Please, somebody help. I know there must be a way to get the
information I need. I am trying to teach myself Millennium, but it is
painful process.

Thank you.
