[IUG] Get FTS vs. Get PC

Dear IUG ListServ Members,

I recently worked with some networking specialists at our organization to
move our Millennium server to a different segment on our organization's
network.  After doing so, the intermediary server that we had been using
for the file transfer software function within Millennium ('Get FTS' / 'Put
FTS') no longer worked because the networking specialists hadn't moved the
intermediary server to the new network segment as well. Now I'm trying to
decide if I should ask them to move it.   Are the 'Get FTS' and 'Put FTS'
functions that are found in Millennium redundant with the 'Get PC' and 'Put
PC' functions?  My recollection is that there have been times when I have
needed to use 'Get FTS' / 'Put FTS' instead of 'Get PC' / 'Put PC.'  I also
feel that if there is function such as 'Get FTS' or 'Put FTS' that is
offered from within Millennium, that there must be a reason why it's there
and that we should do what is necessary to make it work. I'd appreciate any
thoughts that you might have on this question.
