[IUG] Inserting the 008 field in bib records

Good Afternoon,

May I please ask if anyone could help me with this data cleanup project. I have identified a large number of bibliographic records in our database that do not have the 008 field. But I am at a loss on how to insert the 008 field, via global update. Is there a way to do this?
