[IUG] Label printer setup difficulties - Newbie question

We have been using cataloging on Millennium 2009a for almost two weeks and have not been able to print spine labels to our Oki ML420, which has been printing call numbers for our previous system for years.  More accurately, call numbers are printing, but most of the characters are on the tractor feed label backing, not on the label.  Our efforts to change the left margin in the setup tab and in the telnet interface have not had any effect, and a new driver didn't help.  Does anyone have any hints on setup or where our conflict might be?
