As a cataloger and system administrator, I ask for help for the
following:
A 505 contents note in a bibliographic record has the following options
for 1st indicator:
0 Contents
1 Incomplete contents
2 Partial contents
However, even if the 1st indicator is coded as 1 or 2, the public
display still shows "Contents." What do I need to do to display
"Incomplete contents" or "Partial contents" when it is coded as such?
Add some entries to your webpub.def file, specifically:
b|n|5051.|-67|Incomplete contents||b|
b|n|5052.|-67|Partial contents||b|
In case there's a relationship, I've noticed other fields that even when
given indicators to suppress display they still display to the public
(e.g., 785 17).
You can suppress a field from displaying by creating an entry for the
field in your webpub.def that has no value for the label
element. E.g., to suppress a z-tagged 785 with first indicator 1 and
second indicator 7, add the following entry:
b|z|78517|&|||b|
