[IUG] date on spine label? image in hold pickup slip?

Hello

I am using iReport to create the spine label print template
I would like today's date to print on the property label
Does anyone know how to do that?

Also,
I would like to add an image to a hold pickup slip template
In iReport, I use Edit > Insert > Element > Image
And It gives you a browse screen to upload a graphic file

However, Mill says  I cannot use a file path
to refer to the image in the final compile jrxml file
How do I get an image into the template without
Using a full file path?
