[IUG] problem with WAM and EBSCO
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
One of our patrons reported last week that, from off-campus, when he tried to access an EBSCO journal from our catalog, instead of getting the page asking for his Cedarville ID for authentication, he was taken to the EBSCO support site, which requests a User ID and password.
A couple of librarians have duplicated the problem, so we know it's not user error. Access from on-campus is working fine.
I don't recall making any changes to our system in general, or to WAM in particular, recently. And our campus computer guys say they haven't changed anything. They're getting ready to implement Shibboleth, but haven't done it yet. We've been using WAM for several years, with no problems (except when vendors change addresses!)
Is anyone else having problems with WAM and/or EBSCO? Any ideas what our problem might be? I've reported the problem to III and to EBSCO, but thought someone might have already had a similar problem and fixed it, or have some ideas for us.
Thanks!
