[IUG] Settings for Zebra TLP-2844 thermal transfer printer in Millennium? (long)

Recently we ordered a Zebra TLP-2844 thermal transfer printer to demo for printing our spine labels. So far, we could only get it to print from Windows and Anzio, but for some reason it won't play nice with Millennium. I've read through the archives and seen a bunch of other people who have experienced the same issue. I also found the Clearinghouse entry giving more detailed settings to use for printing, but those didn't work for us either. We've tried as many combinations of settings as we could think of, and Millennium labels just will not print to this printer for us. To echo what I've seen elsewhere, Millennium "thinks" it's printing, but the job seems to disappear into the ether. We also tried switching from the USB cable to the parallel cable based on advice in the archives, though that appears to have made no discernable difference. And we updated the Millennium client to the latest 2007 release, and the printer driver to the very latest--none of these got Millennium to print to this printer.

We are about to try using "templates" to see if that helps (we were going to enable it anyway for other purposes, so now seems like a good time to try), though again I noticed in the archives that this didn't necessarily work for others.

We were also thinking that maybe we'd try Print Wizard to print, as we'd had similar issues when we first got receipt printers for Millennium years and years ago and PW was the missing link that allowed us to print. I also saw in the archives (and on Bob's site) that this seems to work...

However, my questions:

1. For those III libraries out there who have actually gotten the Zebra TLP-2844 to work with Millennium for printing labels, what settings actually worked for you (in Millennium AND Windows)?

2. And, did you end up having to use the Millennium printing templates?

3. And/or did you end up having to use Print Wizard to make this work (and settings)?

Detailed responses would be MUCH appreciated, both for our use, and for anyone else having issues with enabling this (or another) Zebra printer with Millennium. Other than the more detailed settings given in the Clearinghouse entry, there hasn't been much that's been helpful to us that I've seen so far on the listserv.

Oh, and please respond to the list so everyone can see what's working, obviously...
