Margaret -

Are you sure that it is the CDATE that you were filling in and not the RDATE? The only way that I've gotten an item to create from an order record is with the RDATE.

Hi all:
 
Our library has recently upgraded to release 2007, and we catalogers have noticed two changes.  In the past, after we added the cat date to the order record and saved the changes, we would get a prompt to create a new item record.  This no longer happens.  Now we have to click on "summary" then on "item" then on "attach new item."  The second change is that when we have found a bib record that we want to overlay onto our brief bib, if we try to change the bloc before we overlay, as we did in the past, the info we added in that field disappears when the record is overlaid.  We're mystified. We didn't consciously make these changes.  Does anyone have any idea why these have taken place, and what we might do about them?  We would prefer to have them as they were before.
