Re: [IUG] EDIFACT invoicing / Extended approval plan interface with promptcat

I can confirm what John and your III sales person have told you.
We have been using Extended Approval Plan interface since before EDIFACT
invoicing was available as a product. So you don't need EDIFACT
invoicing to receive invoice data if you use Extended Approval Plan
interface.
We also use EDIFACT ordering and like the recent enhancement of the
ability to process EDIFACT order reports (IGR Page # 107196).

No, you should not need the Edifact invoicing if you are generating thet
invoice via the marc 9xx fields.
We started doing this recently and do not use the edifact invoicing for
this, though we do use edifact ordering.

We are about to order the III software that we'll need for Promptcat. I think I have the answer to this question from our III sales person, but I thought I'd check with a site that has done this. We plan to but product 409 - Extended Approval plan interface. We already have EDIFACT ordering, but not EDIFACT invoicing. The question is whether we need EDIFACT invoicing. Our sales rep says no, and I think that makes sense, since the invoices will be coming in as MARC 9xx fields, not as EDIFACT messages. But can someone confirm? The text described product 409 indicates it accepts the invoice data itself.
