Re: [IUG] Millennium and Evanced calendar

We are using Evanced for 4-5 years now. Just this mid year we migrated
to Millennnium and they were able to use Patron API and get our stuff
working. We use authentication for our programs. They had sent me the
link to API and I had to make some changes for use with Millennium.
Evanced was quite helpful in resolving the issue. Let me know if you are
still having problems I will try to dig in to what I had to do.

We have it working successfully with Evanced. I can't remember the
specifics of the setup, but I think I had to have Evanced staff enable
the option. The only thing I believe they needed to know was the fact
that we were using the API and the address for reaching it.

If you haven't done so already, you may want to take a look at manual
page 102374. That page and the "See also:" pages at the bottom should
give you enough information to at least test whether or not it's
working.

Subject: [IUG] Millennium and Evanced calendar

Is anyone currently using Evanced Solutions along with Millennium.
Evanced is a calendar and notification system. It is supposed to be used
in PA to collect data for summer reading club also. We were told we
could use patron API to automatically fill the evanced patron
information form. I can't get this to work. Evanced can't help with
Millennium set up and Millennium has never heard of Evanced.

We seem to have the correct ports open and this is the message Evanced
gets when they try to test.
I installed the socket DLL and tested. I received the following error
result.

The requested name is valid and was found in the database,
but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved
for.

This usually means that the ILS system is not setup to respond to the
"Patron Information" request. This is something that needs to be changed
in the ILS configuration.

I need help with the set up. I've read the documentation but can't find
a solution. I'm willing to discuss the set up off line if necessary.
