Re: [IUG] Enabling bookcart

We never bought that product (to export bibliographies from the opac)
but within the last couple of years I noticed that this functionality or
similar was available to us so I turned it on. We can add titles to a
book cart, "view saved", & view and export or view and request saved
records.
This broke when we upgraded to 2007 (you didn't see a book cart icon
next to each title); the help desk fixed it, saying it had to do with a
wrong configuration of the system in regard to exporting bib records.

We're enabling the "bookcart" feature for the first time.
I'm trying this out in Staging, have defined my ICON_BOOKCART and
ICON_BOOKCART_SAVED options, have <!--{mark}--> in my briefcit.html file.
But nothing shows up on my search result page.
There really isn't a bookcart feature per se; the bookcart icons are one
possible way of presenting a feature that allows catalog users to mark and
export records, and in the past that feature was an optional product that you
had to purchase. (I don't see it in the current product catalog, so I'm
guessing it's no longer an optional product?) And if you purchased it, there
was no (a) no library setup involved and (b) you'd see the feature in your
character-based catalog as well. I just telneted to your catalog and don't
see any way to export records, which says to me that you don't actually have
the export product installed. I think what you need to do is contact your
sales rep and see if your system is supposed to offer the ability to export
records.
