[IUG] Access to Web Management Reports Solved

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Thank you Alan and the other folks yesterday that pointed out that my live manage.html file should be checked (why isn't this mentioned in the manual, or did I miss it?). I went into Webmaster and saw that this particular file had been uploaded on Friday 12/5, when for a fact I did no uploading/updating to our Live or Staging screens on Friday. So I viewed in the Edit mode and saw that it showed a different IP address than our current. I know for sure I didn't edit that file, put in another address, so need to figure out how that happened. Anyway, I edited with the correct address and now it works fine. Thanks again for helping me. The IUG is terrific!

In our system, the "manage" represents the "manage.html" file in webmaster/live manage.html contains this:

<HTML>

<HEAD>

<TITLE>Report on Search Activity</TITLE> <META http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=http:// <ourIPaddress>:4448/managerep/mainview/0//?">

</HEAD>

<BODY>

</BODY>

</HTML>

which basically launches the web management reports.

So you can launch it manually by enter ing the URL

innopac.fauquiercounty.gov:4448/ <http://innopac.fauquiercounty.gov/manage>

managerep/mainview/0//?

assuming that your system uses port 4448 for the purpose as ours does.

I suppose that 4448 could have been shut off with a firewall or the like
