Re: [IUG] Is it possible to share a Receipt Printer

We just installed a number of somewhat similar printers, the TSP 100, and
had the same question. We have been pleased that it was easy to share them
using the standard methods with the windows operating system. I think you
might have to login as administrator on the computer with the printer
attached when you go to share the printer, but after that it should not be
necessary to remain logged in as administrator, nor with the remote computer
that will print to it.
But I'm not using them with Millennium, so I can't speak to that issue.
Good luck!

Subject: [IUG] Is it possible to share a Receipt Printer
Hello IUG,
Does anyone have any experience sharing receipt printers among more than one
computer? We use STAR TSP700II receipt printers and we'd like to avoid
buying receipt printers for every workstation in some departments.
I'm wondering if anyone does this, how they do it, and if it requires giving
administrative rights to the user of the computer with the receipt printer
directly attached.
If anyone networks receipt printers, that would be great to know too.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Kind regards,
Katie Olsen
