Re: [IUG] Questions about Online Patron Registration...

We have ours set so they get a blank page and the following error
message:

"Registration could not be completed. Please contact the library for
assistance."

We also tell them at the top of the form:

Tips:

If you already have a library card, but you've lost it, don't fill out
this form, it won't work. Just stop by your library with your picture ID
to get a replacement card. (There might be a small fee for a replacement
card.)

Do NOT use periods or commas when entering information other than after
the city name.

If you get this message: "Registration could not be completed. Please
contact the library for assistance", it means you're already in the
computer. Just stop by your library with your picture ID to get your
card!

Hi Eva,
We will be implementing this service in 09. I am curious what happens
when
the patron sees this page come back to them with the address field
highlighted? Does it prevent them from creating a temp card?
Thanks,
Bill
