[IUG] Batch Processing Reserve Material?

Maybe someone out there can help with this question:

Every Semester, Reserve staff ask why Millennium does not allow them to batch process Reserve material as they were able to do with the text based version of the Innopac.  Quick description:

INNOPAC:  Reserve staff set the parameters for the Reserve items (loan period, etc.), and then they are able to scan in multiple items that will all be governed by those parameters.

MILLENNIUM:  A bar code must be scanned, before Circulation parameters may be set.  This means that for each item scanned in, staff must at minimum, click through the window that holds the circulation parameters.

Has anyone found a way to streamline this process?  We submit it as an enhancement request every year, but it never seems to go anywhere.
