As Alice mentioned earlier the "VENDOR Title #" may be added to the
checkin record when you load electronic invoice data. See the manual
Page #100460 "Editing Checkin Records for Electronic Claiming of Serials
Issues via Email" and Page #102912 "UPDATE Vendor ID in attached records".

Yes, Lin, that's the one. It identifies not just the generic title but our specific subscription in the agent's system. -- Alice

Would that be the "Vendor Title #" that needs to appear in the checkin record?

We've been using electronic claiming of serials for several years.
We love it. It's been a long time since we set it up but as I
recall it involved working with our subscription agents for them to
receive files and also entering subscription numbers in our check-in
records to identify the data properly as it enters the agent's
system. This is actually easily done at the point of paying an
invoice -- an automatic flip of the number into the check-in record.
It works beautifully. Easy and quick for us, easy and quick for
our agents. The III system is widely used, so subscription agents
are very familiar with it. We handle non-agent serials claiming by
email or phone. No printed claim forms.
Best wishes--

[IUG] Electronic claiming
Need some information from those doing electronic claiming of seials.
How are you using it? What did you have to do at the server end and
client end? Does work for you?
