Thanks guys. I downloaded the files from the csdirect and edited the
form to add top and bottom logo. I have it on the training server at

Having recently worked on this myself, I can tell you that the example
set contains copies of pinreset.html and pinreset_request.html but NOT
pinreset_email.html All are customizable.
The pinreset_email.html does NOT exist; you need to create it yourself.
It has to be PLAIN TEXT - NO HTML with only the token on a line by
itself in column 1 of the page.
The messages telling you that an email has been sent and that the PIN
has been changed are configurable in messages.conf (which requires the
custom messages wwwoption).
There are also other wwwoptions for pinreset, pinreset_email and the
icon for it that need to be set.
I have it up and running on staging in our server
(http://library.ccbcmd.edu:2082).
Feel free to look at what I've done. It was based on what I saw at a
number of other sites.
Hope this helps.

Nita:
In regards to the pinreset_email.html, you do create the page yourself
to override the system generated message. I just took another html
page, renamed and stripped out all the code from it. Make sure the
token is on a separate line and no spaces before it.
I am also interested to know if you can customize the email confirmation
and the "You need a valid email" pages the same way.

I have activated this wwwoption. After looking at all these emails and
the manual my question is I don't see any of these html files in the
screens directory (pinreset_email.html, newpin.html.pinrequest.html). Do
I have to create my own files and the system will recongnize these? OR
am I missing these files when we downloaded the upgrade?
Thanks.

So basically this is why the page that pop up window that you see after
you submit your library card number has the toplogo and botlogo? Just
want to make sure that I've got this straight.
This discussion has enlightened me. Thanks, Judy

Dear all,
Thanks for all the quick replies on this - at least I know not to waste
my time trying to remove top and bottom logos that can't be removed.
Re expired emails - I saw this after I created my own
pinreset_email.html file. Looking at the link that I was sent the
problem was that part of the next sentence was being appended to the
reset PIN URL e.g.
http://catalogue.wellcome.ac.uk:2082/pinreset~S8?info=fec44aae63e18af9db
03d7acbc5996369bf7f302a0565e93635689e1a52491e91ff25fc75b71360cThis
Deleting the extraneous 'This' from the end of the URL made the link
work properly. I edited the file again (it's still not pretty) and got
it working properly. Ours looks like this (but is subject to change):
The Wellcome Library has received a request to allow you to create or
reset your My Library account PIN. Please follow the link below to set
your new PIN.
<!--{pinresetlink}-->
This link is valid for 3 hours from the time of your request.
If you did not place a request to set a new PIN, please ignore this
message. Your PIN has not changed. <!--this is customized
<screens/pinreset_email.html>-->
Thanks,
Natalie

Hi Lauren:
To control the text of the email patrons receive create of change the

My text in that file is:

You might also want to check to see if the email you are getting is
bouncing you from the live web server from the 2082 test server on the
email link. As I recall I had problems with this when I was first
setting it up during the Beta.

I'm also working on this. The message is in the message.conf file - you
can customize it there if you are using custom messages.
I'm also working on setting this feature up. My issue, - I got it to
work, the email came but when I clicked on the link to reset the PIN it
told me the request had expired - it was just two minutes old!
I used the templates provided without any customization to finally get
it all to work with the above exception.
The email sent is pretty ugly if you nice looking email message would
you mind sharing your customizations?

HI Natalie,
We recently implemented PINs and asked Innovative this same question. We
haven't heard back yet. We don't mind the system message but would like
the toplogo, botlogo and startover tokens taken out. It's my
understanding we can't customize this. It wouldn't be so bad if it
displayed as a full screen. The forms I was able to customize include
the pinreset.html, pinreset_request.html and newpin.html forms. If a
patron is in patronview_web.html and modifies his/her PIN using the
newpin.html form there is a follow up screen stating simply that the PIN
has been modified. This is another screen it appears is not readily
edit-able.

Hello,
Hopefully this is a question that can be quickly answered.
I'm setting up the 'Forgot your PIN' feature in the OPAC now that we've
gone to rel 2007. I'd like to make an amendment to the confirmation
screen you get at the point when you submitted the form asking to reset
your PIN. I can't see in the manual that this can be customised. Does
anyone know if it can be, or if it definitely can't be? Specifically, I
want to remove the top and bottom logos from the screen.
Thanks,
Natalie
