Speaking as one of the IUG "elders" who worked on this project way back
in the early days of the IUG, this was the original attempt at
collecting information from IUG member libraries about the software and
hardware that they owned. The intent was to allow users to locate other
users who had similar setups so they could share information.
We set it up at Innovative and had it added to member library telnet
menus under the "Connect to another database" menu. It became outdated
and unmanageable and Innovative pulled the plug on the access to it.
Said, since you are at a long-time member library, it was added but
never removed when it ceased to exist. Other old IUG libraries may also
find it hidden in the telnet menus. Have the helpdesk remove it.

Has anyone used this menu?
