[IUG] assorted display questions...webpac pro

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Colleagues,
We recently implemented webpac pro and installed the corresponding example
set. We continue to fine tune, but have some (minor) burning
questions/problems that we would like to resolve. Appreciate any help!

1. Table border for images problem
example record
http://coast.library.csulb.edu:2082/record=b2062384
Has a big table border/cellspacing around it.
One of our staff called the help desk and was told since this table is
controlled by a token and that there's no class affiliated with the
token...so hence no way for us to change this. I figure there must be a
workaround...of course I may be very wrong...
When I view source for a record like this, what I see is
<table width="100%" border="2" cellspacing="5"><tr>
<td width="18%" valign="top" align="center">
<a target='_self'
href="/search/tcentral+california+five/tcentral+california+five/1,1,1,B/l962&FF=tcentral+california+five&1,1,,0,-1"><img
src=
http://artsimages.library.csulb.edu/American_Artists/082_AM19_C4_inline.gif
alt='Central California'></a><br />Central California</td>
</tr></table>
What we would prefer would be
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0"><tr>
<td width="18%" valign="top" align="center">
<a target='_self'
href="/search/tcentral+california+five/tcentral+california+five/1,1,1,B/l962&FF=tcentral+california+five&1,1,,0,-1"><img
src=
http://artsimages.library.csulb.edu/American_Artists/082_AM19_C4_inline.gif
alt='Central California'></a><br />Central California</td>
</tr></table>

2. Help Index printing problem
http://coast.library.csulb.edu:2082/screens/help_index3.html
When you print it (also when viewing in print preview) in IE (we're using
7.0), you get some bit of stray text ('arching') at the upper left of the
container for the text. Doesn't happen in Firefox (I know, I know...so
don't use IE). I assumed it was something I had mis-edited until I
realized the same happens in the "straight of the example set" version of
the page (
http://coast.library.csulb.edu:2082/screens/help_index3_original.html)

3. Bib display problem
example record
http://coast.library.csulb.edu:2082/record=b2064988
We would like our headers Location and Status to not be all UPPERCASE, but
mixed case as Call Number is.
Is this something we can change locally, and if so, where/how, or is it
something that III must change for us?

4. Check in record problem
example
http://coast.library.csulb.edu:2082/search?/tbusiness+week/tbusiness+week/1,3,4,B/crC213597&FF=tbusiness+week&1,,2
"lost" a row in the table for "Location Lower Level Current Periodicals"
Source code says
&nbsp;<em>Location</em>Lower Level Current Periodicals
and it should say
<tr><td><em>Location</em></td><td>Lower Level Current
Periodicals</td></tr>

Appreciate any suggestions for any of the above.
Thanks once again.
Sara
