Be sure to check if your email system has limits on the number of addresses
in the To, CC or Bcc fields. After recent spam attacks, our campus has put a
number of restrictions in place to try and make the system more secure. One
of them are limits in these fields.

The instructions are at:
http://library.alliant.edu/screens/iug_zemail.html
I'm not sure if the instructions I emailed out before were exactly correct.
Thanks for someone pointing out my error. Check out the new page.
Thanks!

We are thinking of doing something similar.
I would like the instructions when you get a moment.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, you need to export a review file. This is the only way that we have
found to send the a mass email.
I have a easy method that doesn't require doing a mail merge. I use notepad
and cut and paste into Outlook. If you want instructions let me know.

I've been able to export a review file's email addresses and then use that
data file to do the emailing by using a Word/Outlook email merge.
I don't think there's any way to do this within the Millennium system.

Does anyone know if there is a way to use e-mail addresses in patron
records to send a mass e-mail? We are scheduling an event in October
that we would like to invite patrons to - I've pulled the info into a
review file, but am not sure of the next step. I've also opened a call
with the Help Desk.
Thanks.
