[IUG] One login

Dear IUG'ers:

We're using R2006 v.1.3 (moving to R2007 Sunday night) and one of the
things I was hoping to get done before leaving was to provide the option
for users to login once on our library site and be able to access the
catalog, My Account, holds, etc.  However, our site sits on two servers
- the ILS system and then the rest of our pages (hosting the main page
for the library, events, calendar, jobs, etc.). I know it is possible,
but I'm  out of time trying to figure it out. Anyone have any
suggestions?  I think it would have to rely upon the login sitting on
the main server (not the ILS), storing a cookie, and then when the user
goes to any of the catalog pages, it would pass the cookie information
to the server, automatically logging the person in. I understand the
theory (I think), but now I just need a practical example of how to do
it. Please let me know!  Thanks everyone!
