Hi,
Our organization is testing My Lists in our Staging port right now and it's
set similar to yours Dennis. It works but then again we don't mind using the
checkbox as opposed to the ICON_BOOKCART. Our checkbox is labeled "Save" so
that hopefully it corresponds well with the button for the
"ICON_MYLISTS_SAVE_TO_LIST" web option labeled "Save to My Lists." We did
remove the request option in the .briefcit results display to avoid
confusion I don't have any further info on this issue but hope to hear back
from others working on it.
I'd love to know the name of the file that appears after the patron logs
into her patron record to set a name for a new list and a brief description
(Save Records to a List). I'd like to customize that screen/file but I can't
identify where to do that, what file it is?

Dennis,
We have been grappling with the issue of icon_bookcart vs the check box and
My Lists as well. We really don't want to use the check box and would like
to have My Lists work properly with the buttons. I queried III about how we
can use the ICON and not the check box with My List and got a response just
this morning. The short response is you can't. III said they were going to
change the documentation in the manual to reflect this more clearly. If you
come up with a solution I would love to hear it until then I think we will
keep My Lists on the staging port as well. It is a shame because we were so
excited about it when we saw it the conference.
If you come up with a solution please let me know.

Much as I'd like to have My Lists moved to Live, it stays on Staging for
a while. It doesn't seem quite ready for prime time, IMHO.
1. The "check box" is not considered obvious enough as a method of
selecting, especially when it's right next to a "Request" button. Our staff
would prefer My Lists worked with the save_record.gif in ICON_BOOKCART.
Since you have to turn the ICON_BOOKCART off for My Lists to work, it's not
nearly as usable, in our view.
2. Bug: If I disable the ICON_BOOKCART and save something to a list, as long
as I'm still logged into my patron record, the ICON_BOOKCART graphic (in our
case, save_record.gif) appears instead on subsequent searches and I can't
save anything else to the list until I log out.
Then the check box is back on the next search. Go figure.
Has anyone found a way around either of these?

Thanks so much for the quick response! As it turns out, what I really

Hello,
Has anyone out there that uses the 'output vouchers' option found a way output the file to another accounting system such that the invoice line item charge and the pro-rated shipping are added together and appear as one charge rather than two separate charges for the same PO number?
We in Acquisitions would like to use the 'shipping charge' option when paying the invoice, but our accounting people do not like the fact that the voucher output causes two charges on the same PO number in our local accounting system. They want to only have one charge per PO number.
Any help or information is appreciated.

We just went live with Millennium and Webpac and have a couple bugs for you Webpac gurus to ponder.
1.) In IE, we get an error in lower left corner on Author, title, subject and number pages. We did discover ie_styles.css is missing from /screens directory, because it didn't come with 2007 example set, but don't think that's the issue.
Line: 33
Char: 1
Error: document.forms.0.elements.1 is null or not an object
Code: 0
2.) Once we invoke secure My library account page, you get the annoying IE warning: "page contains non-secure and secure content, do you want to display?" We know how to enable mixed content in Tools/Options/Security/Custom/Miscellaneous, but wonder if it can be controlled by our server.
3.) Content caf? sometimes displays placeholder: "Book cover", mainly on LPs, microforms and periodicals which have custom bibliographic material types, but not exclusively and usually there's no placeholder at all if no image.
4.) How do you add the scope limiter to the Advanced Keyword page, in addition to bib location, material type, language etc.?

You have javascript in your BODY tag that tries
to put the cursor in the first input field of the
catalog search
<body onload="document.forms[0].elements[1].focus();">
But the first form (forms[0]) on these pages is your quicklinks popup menu.
Give your catalog search form and ID tag, and the
input field another ID tag, then change your body
tag to
<body onload="document.SearchFormID.InputTagID.focus()">
Then it will work regardless of the other forms on these pages.

It appears everything on the page is being served
securely. The Live HTTP Headers add-on for
Firefox is your friend here. View: Web Page
Privacy Policy in IE would also show items served
from a non-secure server.

This is the alt text displaying because CC is not
responding fast enough to the 50 image requests.
We see the same thing with Syndetics since
switching from 12 to 50 results on a keyword
search page.
>4.) How do you add the scope limiter to the
>Advanced Keyword page, in addition to bib
>location, material type, language etc.?
<!--{scope}--> should work, but we just manually
add the code for the popup (select) menu.

Hello,
I'm curious to know if there are any Libraries out there (particularly
in the NorthEast) who have had RFID implemented and who are at least
happy with it, if not ecstatic. This is not a loaded question, but
rather an attempt to gain some names of institutions we can refer to as
practical examples (hopefully nearby) as we will be looking to gain
support from our Town for an RFID capital improvement in what are
looking to be some lean budget years ahead.
Feel free to respond to me off-list if you like, though others here may
benefit from this knowledge as well.
As an aside, I have to say in my own experience I've heard of RFID
installations going *right* much more often than not, but in the end it
all comes down to planning for and embracing the full capability of the
technology, IMO. But anyway, examples as requested would be great.
Thanks,

One of the good thing about purchasing a product implementation and training services is you can discover on your own what is missing in that product that makes it work better. So far, we have reported to ERM Product Manager via our trainer two issues:
1- We consider this as a major setback in the product: The option to attach orders directly to resources. It is strange that other libraries requested this as an enhancement in the past, but developers missed it!
2- The order record number on the Record tab displays in red if there is a value in the RACTION field. I don't know if this happening in other products, but in ERM the order record number and status appear in red even if the RACTION field is empty.

I want to mention one thing I liked about the ERM implementation. From
my perspective it was on of the more flexible modules. It had more
fields we could play with and mold to our particular needs. Being able
to modify things is huge for us so this was nice.
