I have a personal test installation of Scriblio (an open-source WordPress-based front end) in place that uses our library's III catalog. This isn't an official installation in any way, but simply a spare time project that I put on my personal webspace a couple of months ago. Beware of slow response times (explained in the details/update pages).
The installation is here:
http://www.libology.com/scriblio/
with initial details here:
http://blog.librarysupportstaff.org/?p=531
and an update here:
http://blog.librarysupportstaff.org/?p=567
and an example of a live, in-use installation at Plymouth State University:
http://library.plymouth.edu/
and finally, the project web site (which has links to other installations):
http://about.scriblio.net/
Note that my installation is on a hosted webspace on a shared server. The speed issue is probably partially due to this factor, and partially due to my needing to optimize the database. A production environment on a dedicated server would likely run at Plymouth speed. I am fairly impressed with Scriblio, especially considering that it is making an OPAC out of a blog.
Officially, our library is investigating a web 2.0 front end, and I know that the selectors were very impressed with Encore. Whether and when we are purchasing it, and what other products were evaluated are unknown to me at this time. Sorry that I cannot provide more information in this area.
Hope this helps!

Subject: [IUG] Use of web 2.0 interface
Dear all,
We are currently investigating purchasing a web 2.0 front end product to sit above our current catalogue. I would be interested to know if any of the list members:
1. Have such a product in place?
2. If you have a product is it Encore, Primo, Aquabrowser, Endeca or Another product?
3. Why did you choose that particular product?
4. If you don't have one are you thinking of investing in one in the near future?
If you could reply to me off list that would be very useful to us.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Emma
