Course Reserve staff at one of our libraries just reported this problem earlier today. When taken off reserve the item location code doesn't always revert to its previous value. So far we have no idea what's causing it, and before your query we had assumed it was something we were doing wrong. Now, not so much.

Subject: [IUG] Reserves problem

Hi,

We are experiencing an intermittent problem when taking items from our
collection off of course reserve lists. Our policy is to change the
location of reserve items and set the course name to display as call
number. In most cases, the item automatically reverts to its LC call
number and usual location once taken off of a reserve list (as we would
expect it to). However, in some cases the call number and/or location do
not change back once the item is taken off of reserve. Has anyone seen
this behavior or have an idea of what might cause it?

Thanks so much!
Kathryn
