We run Link Maintenance against our entire database every day. Lately
I've had several instances brought to my attention where the bib-level
location field locations do not agree with the item/order/checkin
locations. In every instance, the discrepancy involves a bib-level
location that does not correspond to a location in an attached record,
which suggests that in some cases the bib-level location field is not
being properly updated when items are changed or deleted.
In a couple of cases, I've run Link Maintenance against the individual
bib records with the location discrepancies, but there was no change in
the bib location field.
Has anybody run into this problem before, and is there a fix I can
perform, short of bringing each record I run across to the help desk?
