Thanks, Laurie. The advice about replacing within columns was a big
help. I also found that I was storing patron records instead of item
records in the saved search that I was creating the list from. When I
changed that to a store item records, the format looked like:

"000000000","35194000000000"

Which was much easier to do the conversion on.

Regards,

Cecilia

I open the doc in excel and use find and replace within the columns to
add
in the necessary syntax and save it as text. I have also used textpad to
remove tabs. It is good that It doesn't have to be done often.

Does anyone have a graceful way to output the list of patrons' item
barcodes and patron barcodes and reformat them in a word processor/text
editor?

Open the data file you output into a text editor program (e.g., MS
Word). Using the text editor, manipulate the information so that each
item to be renewed appears in the file in this format:

o:transaction date:item barcode:patron barcode:due date:statistical
group number

I get output like:

P BARCODE,BARCODE

000000813,35194002228492,35194002060721,35194002057966

000041299,35194001596170,35194001433630,35194001610161,35194001702455,3
5194 00025 8707

000000107,3 5194 00027 7822,3 5194 00027
8036,35194000930024,35194001735539,35194001781889,35194001683457,3519400
1197557,35194001295476,35194001382050,35194000632380,35194000213074,3519
4001688340,35194001952290,35194001728922,3 5194 00027

Which would take a *lot* of manipulation to format correctly.

Thanks for any advice!

You need PCCIRC or Offline Circulation to do this.

If you have a list of barcodes (or item numbers) is there a way to mass
