- Subject: [IUG] The number of holds is different between Character-based and Millennium circulation.
Hellow My name is Mituyasu Hattori,
Libralian of Waseda University Library, Tokyo Japan.
Our circulation section is currently using Character-based system for
daily holds management.
In preparation for our migration to Millennium circulation this summer,
we are testing “ View Outstanding Holds” of Millennium circulation.
The result is as follows,
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Character-based> “V > VIEW outstanding holds”
Monday May 12 06:05PM
OUTSTANDING: 79 ON HOLDSHELF: 21
BIB LEVEL: 0 ITEM LEVEL: 79
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
< Millennium circulation> (Release 2006) “View Holds”
Monday May 12 06:05PM (Same time, same location…)
OUTSTANDING: 6 ON HOLDSHELF: 1
BIB LEVEL: 0 ITEM LEVEL: 6
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character-based number of hold items is corrrect.
Does the difference also happen at other libraries?
Best regards
Hattori
